Recent Brixx development updates

Last month, we made improvements to Brixx’s report settings. Now, we’ve added some further improvements to the actuals vs forecast reports specifically.

Actuals vs forecast report improvements

We’re now providing dedicated columns (or rows) for the absolute difference and the percentage variance between your forecast and your actual results. Previously the absolute difference wasn’t available.

These columns can be turned on or off as you need with these new switches at the top of the report:

Showing the difference in these reports should make it much easier to analyse your actuals vs forecast results!

What’s next for Brixx’s development?

We’re excited to share upcoming development updates with you and here are the highlights of the next two features we’re working hard on

Actuals to date report

You’ll soon be able to generate a report with columns of actuals up to a certain date followed by your remaining forecast. On your cash flow report it will reforecast your forecast closing bank position based on your displayed actuals.

This is a highly requested feature and once we’ve rolled it out in our core reports we’ll be pushing it into the dashboard area too.

Roll forward

Our current change plan start date action moves your entire forecast. This is useful for changing an entire project start date but not so useful for rolling forward a plan.

We’re adding a second method that will cut off a month (or however much you roll forward by) of data preserving your forecast dates.

We’ve a lot more planned so expect to hear more about these new features and more very soon!

Final thoughts

This month we’ve made improvements to the actuals vs forecast report to help improve overall user experience and feature functionality.

We’ll be releasing more updates soon and are constantly working on improvements to the app, stay tuned to our Development Updates page for more.
