 Smith & Williamson is presently the eighth largest firm of chartered accountants in the country, employing around 1,200 members of staff based in eleven offices. In 2007, S&W was awarded Large Firm of the Year by Accountancy Age, and is presently ranked as the fourth largest audit firm in the housing association sector (based on the analysis provided by Allied Irish Bank). The group also has an extensive range of property clients. S&W has an experienced business plan validation team, regularly reporting to financial institutions and to regulators such as the Housing Corporation.
